Acapulco brings you the highest quality food made from scratch daily, direct to your home, office or anywhere! We provide everything you need for your next corporate party, family event, or wedding. We offer full service catering with the option to add bar service. We customize our services to meet your needs. Contact us today!

Book Your Event

The safety and health of our customers and staff are our highest priority. We have implemented new safety processes to keep you feeling confident during your dining experience with us at Acapulco.

  • Staff will be wearing masks. Due to the statewide mandate, we also ask that you wear a mask any time you are not seated at your table, eating and drinking.
  • Staff members are screened for symptoms upon each shift.
  • We have increased the frequency of sanitation of all surfaces. Tables and chairs are thoroughly sanitized between guests.
  • Hand sanitizer is placed throughout the restaurants for your use.
  • We are using one-time use menus and condiments.
  • We are operating on reservations only. You may walk in and make a reservation upon arrival. This helps us manage the flow of the restaurant and ensure there is no crowding while waiting for a table.
  • Limit of 6 people maximum at a table. Limit of 2 people at the bar rail.
  • We are seating at 50% capacity to maintain space between customers.
  • We are offering contactless payment to minimize touching of your credit card and exchange of tablet at the table.

About Us

Maria and Jesus Leon opened their first restaurant in December of 1996. Our family operated restaurant has now expanded to eight locations around the Twin Cities area. Working together, the Leon family brings you the best of Mexican cuisine.

Our Story

Customers coming to one of our restaurants for the first time are surprised to learn we are not a chain. We are the Leon family, and each of us works in different roles in our company. Our parents, Jesus and Maria Leon, were born in Jalisco, Mexico and relocated to Minnesota in the early 90s. They have nine niños - Maria, Jose, Carlos, Alex, Sam, Veronica, Martin, Jesse, Lupita – who work together to run the restaurant as it is today.

We are all actively involved in all aspects of the restaurants. From architecture and construction, equipment repair and maintenance, electrical engineering, cooking, catering, menu planning to bartending and of course the day to day running of the restaurants. We strive to provide the best service for our customers and a great place to work for our staff.
